Explainability, versioning and evaluation logs are cheap to capture at the moment of decision and expensive to reconstruct later. Treat them as first-class outputs of every model, not an afterthought for the audit.
A checklist for Monday
- Every deployed model has an owner and a rollback.
- Every prediction path has a monitored failure mode.
- Every material change is versioned and evaluated before it ships.
Do this and the regulator becomes a formality, not a fire drill.
